JOHN(5) 1812-1844
John was born in Warren Co., OH, to William and his 2nd wife, Ann McCool. He was the 2nd son named John of William's, the first had died a couple of years before, this second John was born. John married on January 22, 1833 in Lima, Allen Co., OH, to Elizabeth Hanthorn, the daughter of George Hanthorn and Nancy Ann Sheperd. They had 6 children, all born in Allen Co., before John, just 32, died in his twelfth year of marriage on November 17, 1844. Within three years Elizabeth remarried to Alexander M. Homan. Elizabeth only lived to April 12, 1856. Both are buried in the Tony's Nose cemetery, Allen Co, OH.
