Note Unknown Maryland lines are believed to belong to Arthur(2) or Richard(2), but primarily Richard(2).

This line was developed from information received from Robert Simms and Janet Lee Caughlin, matched against census work by Peter Chenoweth. It has been further augmented by several recent contacts in Maryland. Thomas is reputed to have been born in Perry Hall. This location would tend to indicate a Richard(2) line. In the 1870 and 1880 Census the family is found in the 9th District: page 501 (Towson)
